Building on her previous success at exploring the local coast, Fiona has built a collection of works that explores and captures the ever shifting atmospheres, colours and contours of the local estuary.

While Kara scoots off to a trade show here I am in front of a Maurice Cockrill RA, part of the University artwork collection. I had a tiny part in its placement but the level of excitement it created, you may be forgiven for thinking I had won the lottery.

Stillness and Movement
Staacks are very excited to welcome Julie Lawrence, "Northern Artist of the Year" to our gallery. The work uses the painting language of Romanticism, responding to the ever changing coastline and is sure to please everyone who visits. Exhibition starts Monday 2nd July.

The Marine Lake
Our next exhibition is by Derek King, who continues his exploration into the abstract colours and shapes of his environment. This body of work concentrates on the Marine Lake at West Kirby and is sure to surprise and please the eye.

Priscilla visits Staacks
We were very excited to welcome this months artist Priscilla Fursdon to Staacks.

"Colour is the only direction"
February sees a sensational collection of original prints by local artist Priscilla Fursdon.
Inspired by Patrick Heron, the work is an exploration of colour and the inter-relationship between the inks, the colours themselves and their application.
Now 90 years old, Priscilla has ventured into ceramics, painting and printing and we are proud to host this exhibition that focuses on her printing from 2000 to date.
