A great night was had by all at the Staacks of Talent Open Evening. Friends, family, organisers and admirers rubbed shoulders with the plethora of stars that make up the Staacks Students. Well done to everyone involved and a big thanks for all those who braved the cold to attend.

Another strong show from the “students” of Staacks Art Classes. Exhibition runs throughout January.
With over 50 artworks on display, this may be the largest Christmas collection yet. With a variety of styles, media and price there is a great choice for you to choose from. Artists include: Laura Weston, Jane Morrow, Janine Suggett, Sue Lunt, Fiona Philipps, Julie Lawrence, Derek King, Peter Macaulay, Elaine Adams and Sherilyn Halligan.
As Christmas approaches and time is taken up navigating the numerous parties, dinners and events, we are opening our doors on Sunday, 1pm to 4pm to help you find a few moments to find that special present.

It seems like we have only just finished Ceramix 17 and here we are a year later with a new bright collection of ceramics that will both surprise and please.

Building on her previous success at exploring the local coast, Fiona has built a collection of works that explores and captures the ever shifting atmospheres, colours and contours of the local estuary.
Running throughout October, this is one not to miss.
Hilbre Island Perspectives
We are excited to welcome back Jane Morrow who has once again captured brilliantly the drama and atmosphere of Hilbre Island and the surrounding estuary.

While Kara scoots off to a trade show here I am in front of a Maurice Cockrill RA, part of the University artwork collection. I had a tiny part in its placement but the level of excitement it created, you may be forgiven for thinking I had won the lottery.

Stillness and Movement
Staacks are very excited to welcome Julie Lawrence, "Northern Artist of the Year" to our gallery. The work uses the painting language of Romanticism, responding to the ever changing coastline and is sure to please everyone who visits. Exhibition starts Monday 2nd July.
Good luck to everyone taking part in this years Open Studio Tour and best wishes to all who visit. This year looks like it is the biggest yet.
Throughout June, and forming part of the Wirral Open Studio Tour, Laura Weston will be showing a selection of her refreshing and eye catching prints.
The Marine Lake
Our next exhibition is by Derek King, who continues his exploration into the abstract colours and shapes of his environment. This body of work concentrates on the Marine Lake at West Kirby and is sure to surprise and please the eye.
The Exhibition opens on Friday 1st of June and will run throughout the month.
