Peter Cameron

Peter, who has been painting for over 30 years, has pulled together his largest collection to date. For collectors of his work and for those being introduced for the first time, there is a well worn theme to the work, that of people and pastels. Why Pastels? as Peter explains, “Pastels because I have advanced Parkinsons and the chalks allow me to work as close to the surface as possible and in so doing ,minimising the cardiogram effect.” And of the characters being portrayed? “The images are of imagined people but more often than not set in Liverpool. A thread of nostalgia inadvertently unites a few pictures ,but mostly they carry their own baggage.”

The collection of over 40 works will be shown throughout October.
